In January 2025, the 2024 Renmin University of China (RUC) Youth Study Camp (4th session) successfully concluded. Forty young students from across China gathered to embark on a three-day journey of knowledge exploration and academic discovery.

RUC Youth Study Camp is an innovative program designed specifically for young people nationwide, aimed at helping them explore university disciplines and providing guidance for their future academic and professional choices. The camp futured a broad range of subjects, including law, artificial intelligence, journalism and communication, literature,finance, and foreign languages. Experts and current students from these fields were invited to share cutting-edge knowledge and offer insights into their learning experiences.
The curriculum was carefully tailored to the knowledge base and interests of middle and high school students. Professors not only delivered expert-level content but also introduced dynamic, interactive classroom activities to foster active engagement. Through discussions and exchanges, students gained a deeper understanding of the subjects, enhancing both their knowledge and their enthusiasm for learning.
Students from 17 different provinces and cities across China participated in this session. Throughout the event, they not only built stronger connections with one another but also displayed an intense curiosity and eagerness to explore the academic fields introduced. In the classroom, students actively participated, confidently sharing their thoughts and ideas. Outside of class, they proactively engaged with professors, discussing and doubts while seeking valuable advice and guidance.
Afterward, the students visited the Summer Palace, where guided by a knowledgeable tour guide. They gained a deeper appreciation for the architectural layout and artistic features of this historic landmark.
From class lesson to real-world observation, from exploring the campus to experiencing city’s culture, this learning journey not only broadened their horizons but also significantly ignited their interest and enthusiasm for further exploration of Chinese history and culture.
The Youth Study Camp becomes a unique and treasured memory in each participant’s life, offering more than just knowledge. It serves as an inspiration for students to chase their dreams and aim for top-tier universities.
