In order to enhance the awareness of fire safety and relative laws among all faculty and staff, further improve the quality of fire safety, self-prevention and self-rescue ability, prevent the occurrence of various fire safety accidents, the School of Continuing Education held 2024 fire safety education training and emergency evacuation drill on the morning of March 8. This activity fully implemented the work policy of 'safety first, prevention first, and combination of prevention and treatment'.

Safety education training by the school of continuing education Party secretary Wei Xiojing presided over. She stressed that considering the college is a densely populated place, fire safety is related to the personal safety of the majority of teachers and trainees. Once a fire occurs, the consequences will be unimaginable. Therefore, it is of great significance to improve the awareness of fire safety among teachers and students and help them master the basic fire safety knowledge and skills ,which will contribute a lot to prevent and reduce the occurrence of fire accidents and protect the vital interests of teachers and students.

Hui Xinyu, Vice minister of the Department of Security, conducted professional training on fire safety knowledge, covering fire prevention, fire emergency response, fire equipment operation and other aspects, aiming to help employees fully master the key skills of fire prevention and handling. She took a number of typical incidents of fire in domestic schools in the past two years as examples to remind everyone that we should always be vigilant and do a good job in fire safety prevention. By inviting present personnel to explain the wearing of gas masks and the operation of fire extinguishers, the training staff present were aided to grasp the correct use of the methods.

After the fire knowledge lecture, the emergency evacuation drill was immediately carried out under the guidance of professionals from the Security Department. With the rapid sound of alarms and billowing smoke, all the participating employees quickly covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, leaned down, and orderly evacuated from the stairs to the outdoor open space under the guidance of the staff. After the exercise, Hui Xinyu speak highly of the careful organization of the college and the serious participation of the involved employees during the evacuation exercise, and commented on the shortcomings in the exercise. Subsequently, the staff of the security Department to popularize the knowledge of fire equipment to people present.

Through this fire safety training and emergency evacuation drill, the participants can understand fire safety knowledge, be familiar with the evacuation process, master escape skills, and improve the ability of employees to cope with emergencies.
