On May 10, 2024, the School of Continuing Education of Renmin University of China (hereinafter referred to as the 'School of Continuing Education of RUC') and the Education and Training Center of Beijing Foreign Studies University (hereinafter referred to as the 'BFSU Education and Training Center') successfully signed a cooperation framework agreement at the North campus of Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Han Xiaoning, Deputy Party secretary and president of the School of Continuing Education of RUC, Chen Yingxia, Deputy president of the School of Continuing Education of RUC, Wen Shufeng, member of the party committee and the director of RUC Education Development Center, Li Guohui, Director of BFSU Education Training Center, Ye Ming, Director Assistant and Director of Education Cooperation Department, and Ma Tianxiao, director assistant and director of International Education Department, attended the signing ceremony.

Li Guohui, Director of BFSU Education Training Center, introduced that BFSU Education Training Center has established multi-dimensional businesses of international education, cultural exchange, educational cooperation, examination and evaluation, teacher development and student development, relying on the profound history of language education and international talent training of Beijing Foreign Studies University. Director Li also said that “two sides will follow the principle of ‘demand-oriented, resource sharing, collaborative development’ in the cooperation of curriculum research and development, international business and education and training projects after the signing and hoping that the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, train more inheritors of Chinese culture, disseminators of Chinese voices, innovators of Chinese theories, pioneers of China's future and work together to promote the vigorous development of education.”

President Han pointed that “Renmin University of China is the first new-type and regular university founded by the Communist Party of China, known as ‘a banner in the field of higher education of humanities and social sciences in China’. It has a glorious tradition and unique advantages and has trained a large number of high-quality talents for the Party and the country. The College of Continuing Education of RUC insists on carrying forward the red gene and disciplinary advantages of Renmin University, integrating educational training resources inside and outside the university, building a lifelong learning system of Renmin University in the new era, and promoting the standardized management and high-quality development of continuing education in the new era.”

President Han also pointed, “Collaborative education is a mutually beneficial and win-win move, and this signing is the starting point of cooperation between the two sides. We look forward to continuing to deepen cooperation between the two sides, promote educational innovation, and make positive contributions to the development of education.”

This signing of cooperation is an important measure for the College of Continuing Education of RUC and BFSU Education and Training Center to pursue excellent education quality and explore the innovation of international education model. In the future,two sides will adhere to the central task of educational development and guided by the national needs, helping achieve the goal of high-quality international talents training through resource sharing, project support and other cooperation measures, exploring a new path for education modernization and drawing a new chapter of high-quality education development jointly.
