On July 27, 2025, the “Guarding Youth · Advancing with the Rule of Law—Youth Summer Camp for Legal Literacy Enhancement”, hosted by the School of Continuing Education of Renmin University of China, officially commenced at Renmin University of China. Outstanding young students across the nation gathered to embark on a five-day learning journey

 

Professor Han Xiaoning, Dean of the School of Continuing Education, delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony. On behalf of Renmin University, he extended a warm welcome to the students from all over the country and emphasized: “The rule of law is a crucial foundation for modernizing the national governance system and capabilities, and young people are the future and hope of building a rule-of-law China.”

 

This camp leveraged profound legal academic heritage and high-quality national teaching resources of Law School of Renmin University of China, focusing on “legal literacy enlightenment + professional skills stimulation.” It also opened the door to the era of rule of law for young participants through a four-dimensional progression system “theoretical learning, practical exploration, frontier planning, and career planning”. The camp featured a strong teaching team composed of senior professors from law school and legal practitioners, providing students with high-quality legal courses.

 

Notably, participants learned and lived on the campus of Renmin University of China throughout the entire program, truly experiencing university life and academic atmosphere. The curriculums not only included systematic knowledge to help students establish a foundational legal knowledge system, but also provided deep immersive experiences, such as exploring courtrooms, visiting courts, and touring youth legal education bases, emphasizing the development of practical legal skills.

As youngsters in the new era, the participants are not only witnesses and participants in the construction of the rule of law, but also would be the future promoters. Dean Han Xiaoning encouraged everyone to cherish the learning opportunity at Renmin University of China, actively engage in practical interactions, spark ideas through exchanges, closely integrate legal knowledge with real-life situations, and strive to become youth of the new era who know, understand, abide by, and apply the law.
