Dear alumni, time flies! In a flash, the School of Continuing Education has accompanied the alumni of all classes through 71 years. Since the establishment of the correspondence department of Renmin University of China in 1952, the organizational structure of the college has undergone many adjustments. In 1959, the Correspondence College of Renmin University of China was established on the basis of the Correspondence Department. In 1988, the school established an education and training center.
After 2000, the college established a training school in 2003 on the basis of the former education and training center. In 2004, in order to improve the management system and integrate educational resources, the College of Adult Higher Education of RUC and the College of Network Education were merged to form the 'School of Continuing Education of RUC ' according to the development trend of adult higher education and network education in China. The school agreed that the training college should use the name 'School of International Education of Renmin University of Chinese' when carrying out international degree education projects, so as to promote and implement the overall development strategy of the school in the new era, enhance and expand the school's strength and international influence, and promote the sustained, rapid and healthy development of the international education cooperation project of the training school.
In March 2018, in order to implement the requirements of the separation of the school's continuing education management and management, and strengthen the resource integration and standardized management of academic continuing education and non-academic education and training, RUC merged the School of Continuing Education and the School of Training to form a new School of Continuing Education.
After more than 70 years of glorious history, what makes the college proud is not only the glorious development history, but also the generations of students who have cultivated themselves and studied diligently on the fertile soil of continuing education.
